Microblading is permanent makeup. The procedure uses a hand tool with sterile, precise needles to gently etch natural and realistic looking “hairs” into the skin by implanting pigment beneath the surface of the skin. Similar to powder brows and ombre brows, microblading can correct or reconstruct lost eyebrow shape and structure. It is the perfect procedure for those who want to enhance their thinning, aging, or over-tweezed eyebrows.
*Pigments are selected based on skin tone and natural brow hair color.
Microblading will typically last around 12-18 months depending on age (mature/young skin) and skin type (normal/dry/oily). Each client’s individual color retention will vary. Skincare routines also affect the retention of pigment. Clients who tan or use products with Glycolic Acid will fade and/or change faster. To maintain color richness, a touch up is advised every 12-18 months after the initial procedure.
he initial microblading session is approximately 2 hours.
During this session, the brow technician will:
1. Consult with client and addresses client’s requests and concerns
2. Draw, with brow pencil, a shape that complements the bone structure and facial features of the client
3. Get client’s approval on shape and symmetry of the drawn brow shape
4. Numb the brow area
5. Microblade or shade the eyebrows.
The follow-up session is required for minor touch up and color retention and should be about 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. This session will take roughly 1 hour.
After the eyebrow treatment, the eyebrows will intensify in color due to pigment oxidation; however, the brows do not get dark to the point of looking unnatural. The brows will remain dark for 2-4 days. You will see the true healed color 7-10 post treatment day. Healed color, on average, is 20%-30% lighter than the color immediately after treatment.
After treatment, the brows must remain dry for 5-10 days. Clients must avoid water, sun, brow makeup, exercise or any kind of sweating for 2 weeks.
